Shipping Information

Combined Shipping (not available when PayNow is used)

Consolidate your shipping and save at least 50%! We offer a 50% discount on the shipping of each item paid for at the same time. Full shipping will be charged for the item with the highest shipping cost, shipping for the other items will be charged at 50%. Just wait for all your items to end before making payment.  Some smaller items may combine shipping with NO additional shipping charge!  If our checkout doesn't get the combined shipping right, just email us and we can review it.

Example:

  • John wins 3x of our auctions- a battery charger with a shipping cost of $6, an auction for some AA batteries with a shipping of $3, and another auction for 9v batteries shipping $4
  • The charger is charged at the full shipping rate ($6) as it is the highest
  • Charger shipping $6
  • 9v battery shipping $2 (50% off $4)
  • AA battery shipping $1.50 (%50 off $3)
  • Total shipping $9.50 ($6 + $2 + $1.50)

If John had a rural delivery address there would be a single additional charge of $3.50 to cover that and his total shipping would be $13 ($9.50 + $3.50)

Sorry, but due to the way TradeMe operates the BuyNow facility, our checkout's attempts to reduce shipping on combined auctions is incompatible.  PayNow will charge full shipping even on combined auctions.

Automatic Emails

You will be sent an automatic email the evening your order is dispatched. This email contains information on when the package was sent, what address it was sent to, what courier it was sent on and your tracking number. It also contains information on how you can contact the courier to track your package or to find out what time the driver will be in your area.

What Courier service will be used?

We currently use  FastWay and sometimes other courier services. Your order will usually be sent in a courier satchel, or if it's a large order, a well-padded box.

For items valued over $50, we use signature required track 'n' trace courier service for your protection. If there will be no one home to sign during courier delivery times, please arrange an alternate delivery address.

To check the delivery status of your order, please use the appropriate courier's Track 'n' Trace system.  We will usualy include a link for you in the Automatic Email that we send.

How long will delivery take?

Usually, for payments received before 3pm, we send the order out that same day. For payments after 3pm, we strive to send them out that day, but this is not guaranteed.

Please note: These times are target guidelines only, and can't be guaranteed due to any number of unforeseen circumstances.

Special shipping requirements (including International)

If you have any special requirements with regards to shipping (i.e. you're buying it as a gift), just let us know and we'll try our best to accommodate your needs. :)  We do not ship internationally.

What if I'm rural?

A rural delivery fee is charged by couriers to deliver items to rural addresses, whether or not the RD is indicated in the address.  To speed delivery and eliminate misdirections, we try to check all addresses in the national address database.   If NZ Post indicates via their address-finder website that your address is RURAL, and you will have to pay the appropriate rural surcharge.

Please note: Rural deliveries will take a day or two above the normal delivery time, as it has to be passed on to the rural contractor. If you're in a hurry and need your order as soon as possible, it is best to either arrange a non-rural address or arrange to pick it up at your nearest courier depot.

How can you tell if you are rural? If your mail is delivered by the rural postie, then you are most likely to be rural delivery. :)

What about P.O. Box deliveries?

Only CourierPost has P.O. Box delivery rights.  Our warehouse does not use CourierPost, and you will need to supply an alternative address.

Can I pickup my order?
